Vienna Library
For two years now, the Vienna library with 300.000 media items relies on RF-iT Solutions implementation
Objective
- Provide a RFID solution for libraries as a general contractor (responsible for RFID related equipment and services)
Initial Situation
- Migration of existing library system from old building to the new one
- Integration in existing bar code system necessary
- Existing system had high handling cost

Status
- Up and running since opening (April 2003)
- 240.000 books, 60.000 digital media equipped with tags
- Special tags for CDs and DVDs
- System link to existing data base (terminals)
- Anti Theft gates
